Our history

The inventors and developers of the TEESLING met – how could it be otherwise – on a golf course. One is a golf instructor, the other his student. On the driving range, a problem that golfers around the world struggle with became clear: flying tees and their owners. This mess is unfortunate, both for golf instructors and their students. Instructors want as many balls as possible to be played in a row to maintain body awareness. Golfers want to stay in the flow and focus on their shots. When collecting tees, there is also a risk of getting into a neighboring golfer's shot path and being hit by a ball. One thing quickly became clear to the two of them: Something was needed that would prevent the tee from flying far away and simplify collecting it considerably. After several attempts with various improvised constructions, student and instructor found the solution: the TEESLING.

How it all began
With their basic idea, the two inventors set out to find a product design agency and found a partner that had won several international awards – Emamidesign.
Successful development
A lot of discussions about function and design were followed by prototype development, various stages of fine-tuning and finally the market-ready product.
Kai Wendland
Kai Wendland discovered golf when he was 15 – or rather, golf “discovered” him. His father was invited by a friend to a round of 18 shots but could not keep the appointment. He sent his son in his place. The latter was immediately enthusiastic about the complexity of golf and from then on devoted every free minute to his new hobby.

Some time later, Kai Wendland went to study golf as an amateur at an English college. And because he enjoyed working with people, he went on to get golf instructor training at the PGA of Germany. Since 2000, he has been teaching all ages from toddlers to seniors of all experience levels at the Golf and Country Club Seddiner See.

And even though he's been golfing for so long, he is still trying to figure out ways to improve his students: by regularly attending seminars or by coming up with inventions like the TEESLING.
Tino Richter
Tino Richter is an entrepreneur – and a passionate golfer in his spare time.

In 2012, he discovered golf for himself. An old friend he met again after 20 years took him to the course. On the one hand, he appreciated the peace and quiet there and the proximity to nature. On the other hand, he was fascinated by the complexity of the game.

He decided to take lessons and met Kai Wendland, his trainer and current business partner.

One thing, however, bothered him about golf: Every tee shot makes the tee fly around causing him to loose his flow every time. As a logistics specialist in the field of waste transport he was also highly aware of the subject of “waste”. He was annoyed by numerous tees lying around on teeing grounds and polluting the environment.

As an entrepreneur, he was used to finding solutions. So he tackled the problem of the flying tees together with his partner – until the initial idea turned into the finished product: the TEESLING.

Today, he is still seen regularly on the golf course; always in the flow and with the good feeling of having developed a proven solution for the “tee waste” on the golf courses of the world.
